The Heron Group has come a long way since six brothers laid our foundations in Northern Ireland in 1956. Driven by a commitment to in-house manufacturing, Heron Fire Doors was established in 2018 to support the wider Heron Group.
We provide a unique in-house supply chain service, guaranteeing delivery of quality products and services. Our diverse range of products and skills allow us to provide goods and services to the Education, Healthcare, Hotel, Prestige, Residential and Refurb sectors.
Since 2018, we have continued to grow, collaborating closely with our sister companies to deliver complete door sets, windows, mouldings, and joinery solutions to our customers.
Case Studies
Templemore Baths – Belfast
This project involved the restoration and fit-out of existing Grade B+ building, restoring the major pool and forming new function room within the existing minor pool and infilling existing courtyard area to form new café area.
Heron Fire Doors supplied all replacement Non Fire Rated and Fire Rated Doors and Screens to this project, a fantastic project to have supported as the level of detail to be achieved was exceptional given the nature of the building and its architecture that had to be retained.
WPP – Royal Kensington
Supply only of 820 FD30 / FD60 / FD90 Screens and Doorsets to London Project with a mixture of Primed, factory finished and Veneer Doors. The veneer achieved on this was bespoke, requiring a stain application process, which we established and ensure we delivered a quality product to site for a high end fit out project.
Due to the size of the project there was a project team established between the 2 businesses to agree design, procurement and supply to site on time and in full in line with the Programme.
Programme for the delivery to site had restrictions due to access to the site and hours which this could be achieved, therefore an early firm engagement was established to achieve this.
NRC Coleraine Education Campus
Heron Fire Doors designed, supplied and fitted fully certified 30-, 60- and 120-min glazed fire doors and fire duty screens, meeting acoustic and severe-duty criteria, in the new NRC campus. NRC Coleraine was supplied with grey laminate and primed doorsets, complete with ironmongery, and pre-hung in the factory for easy unpack and fit.
Heron Fire Doors worked in collaboration with the entire team at HBL to ensure the design and approval process for the doors and screens aligned with project deadlines in addition to delivering the project on time to a tight installation programme.
