The New Hospital Programme (NHP) is a major UK Government initiative that was reset in January 2025. The programme aims to deliver new hospitals and replace ageing healthcare infrastructure, including seven priority sites identified as having structural risks associated with RAAC.

While the original ambition was to deliver 40 hospitals by 2030, the revised programme now anticipates completion of the final projects by 2045–46, supported by annual funding of approximately £3 billion from 2030 onwards.
